My suspension is tired, on 116k as far as i am aware, if anyone is breaking a 9-5 or refreshing I'd take some second hand bilstein b12s or koni fsds, less than 50k if poss.

Thanks

Bilstein B12 is the kit, made up of Bilstein B8 shocks and Eibach Pro-Kit springs.

Yeah sorry I knew that, I was less than clear! I'd prefer the dampers and springs as the full kit on the basis that the springs new on top of used dsmpers would get into the realms of "you may as well just buy them both new," as a value proposition. It's highly unlikely anyone has any to sell anyway do...I should go to sleep

I fitted the B12 kit, but you will also need to budget for some extras.

I fitted some "free" front top mounts that came with the kit. They failed within 500 miles. Fitted OE Boge ones and it's fine. At the rear you will almost certainly need new top bushes, which I found hard to source. But that was three years ago. Maybe Saab Parts have restocked. Also antiroll bar bushes and front drop links.

I had already had the rear trailing arms rebushed. The big bush at the front is usually the first to go.

Thanks sgould, it starts to add up of you factor all this in, I'm just not sure 1k is value for money to change the suspension on a 13 year old car worth twice that....

Hence why I'm looking for second hand, you never know...
