Desperately need help, does anyone have 2 x coil pack bolts they can post out 1st class today?

Sheered 2 of mine off due to a faulty torque wrench and only replacements I can find will take a week to get here.

Any help appreciated

Which engine? I have a couple for the 2.8T in my collection though whether I'll make the post tonight is debatable.

From memory they are perhaps M8 thread?

I am not sure the thread. Its for a 2006 9-3 2.0 Aero. Its Number 8 on this diagram :-

The bolts have 8.8 written on them not sure if that helps?

Not listed as a separate part on the 2.8T, but looks like the one in this image here:

They are captive so it could take a bit of persuading to remove them.

Can you not use an M6 or M8 Hex bolt?

Ah yes I see.

I wasn't too sure you could do that, so if I picked up a M8 hex bolt for B&Q would the thread be the same?

8.8 is the tensile strength but it's not a high load application so it doesn't really matter. There is nothing remotely special about the ones on my 1.8t which look exactly the same. Toolstation or Screwfix will have them for a couple of quid. If you happen to live in Bolton, you're welcome to come and root through my nut and bolt collection. I think they are M6 because I recall using a 10mm socket.

Hello,

Thats good to know thanks, unfortunately I am in Devon :) It is a 10mm socket your right. I thought they were like special saab bolts or something. I will go down B&Q or somewhere later and get both M6 and M8 :)

Thank you

Yes thanks mate, I tried various avenues as I thought it was a specific Saab bolt.
