do you have a broken one? they can sometimes be repaired with a little soldering.

Yes... It could come to that but it's been repaired at least twice already so I don't feel comfortable with it as the only spare.

I'm curious,( need a spare fob for my 9k) how do you program a fob from a different car to work with a car that it doesn't match? Is it easy?

You need to use Tech2 but yes, it's very easy. 5 min job.

That remote is similar to the Vauxhall Vectra of the same vintage(1996) Worth checking it out imho. :wink:

Car Model: Two 97 9000 Aero's 2.3T.
A Vauxhall one will not work.
It has to be a 9000 fob.

Then you need someone with TechII and a Version 44 software card to pair it.

This is also so, but the cases are similar and if it's just the cases need replacing a Vauxhall/Opel one can be used although the icon on the buttons will show open and lock rather than open/lock and boot.

There are a number of people around that can do this but the first job is getting the fob.
