I am looking for a drive shaft for the electrical adjustibility mechanism of my Saab 9000 Aero (1995) front seat as the inner, metal part is broken. According to the EPC, the part no. is 9542317, being the right hand side cable of the passenger seat without memory function (also referred to as the horizontal drive shaft, and also used in the 900C with power seats). Any chance?

Hi!

I should be able to help you as I have one of these left over from a seat where the cover was broken. It came out of a passenger seat from a LHD car, meaning it is the right side one when sitting in the seat. Problem is I am from Denmark. Good thing is that it´s yours for the cost of postage.

I can figure this out if you should be interested? And I can measure out the correct lenght of it, just to be sure?

Which courrier would be preferable?

And BTW: Most of the time - according to my experience - the cover itself is the weak part here. They simply crack/break over time, especially when running the recline far to much in "sleeping position". But I realised there is a good and proper way having this issue repaired. I did that in my previous car and it turned out succesfully!! I have a selfmade "how to" instruction by any interest as these parts are hard to find nowadays. I never got any troubles with this thing anymore...pure satisfaction (and a lot of work) 8)

Greetings
/Henrik, DK
