It does look to be a fairly sizeable project, needing a lot doing, but having seen your other work I'd say it's well within your means. Whether you have time is another discussion!

Thank you very much, and I'm still admiring the Reliant thread, you've some skillset and attitude :D
On a whim I sold the bullnose this morning, I know I'll regret it but I love my 99s!

And that's it away down south. I had a huge amount of fun with it, and I'd do it again tomorrow.
Thanks to anyone that encouraged me along the way.

I see she is now being advertised on Facebook for £3.5k.

I was aware the chap I sold it to buys and sells these things. If the "no rot" statement is true then he's forked out a bit to repair it as all 4 doors needed the standard inner repairs when it left here a few weeks ago, as did the windscreen scuttle channel.
Hopefully at that money it's a big enough investment that whoever gets it won't break it.

It's local to me now! Maybe Mrs Briance would like a 4 doot version to sit alongside my 72 L.

I shouldn't think you'd even need to ask her, I think it's certain that would be the right thing to do! :D

Haha! I dropped it into conversation with Mrs Briance this evening... She said no quite abruptly which is a dissapointment. I did courageously suggest that a 4 door version made in the same year and in the same colour would be a cool thing to have on the driveway but, she still said no.

I am saddened but maybe when the back axle is refitted to my car, I will book a viewing and take some side by side photos as once last effort to show her how cool it would be...

The funny thing is that the same car now appears in 2 adverts on the same screen! Ian's original and then the Leicester owner. Gone down £500 now but still a good chunk above Ian's list price.

The import LHD 99 listed for 9,995 has been for sale for years now as well I see.

The same LHD 99 that I was offered before Two Stroke to Turbo bought it, for less than half what they are trying to sell it for.
