I'll have to wait for Driver.

Looking less and less likely that I'll make it to Prescot. :(

e4’s plot.. removed

Anyway as there’s no real interest in the plot I’ve decided to remove it which will save me the trouble of answering dumb ass questions with exception to R3gou.

Is torque kept low at lower rpm's on purpose or does the turbo not spool any sooner?

No that’s down to the cams, but that said on the road it’s hauling, it actually spools quicker that my 3071 and quite responsive given its size, there’s not much point in loading huge amounts of torque low down anyway as it’s difficult to make it stick which is why I’ve done all mine this way, there are far quicker cars that can launch better anyway but once this is in flight things get very blurry

This arrived on my doorstep this week and hopefully I’ll be fitting over the weekend and turning up the boost a tad more.

Is that "just" a new throttle body? (Is it a throttle body??) Or is it a special shiny one?

So having been on the dyno with e4 on a low boost application it’s tine to turn it up a few more pounds, with the cold weather approaching and the possibility of another dec dyno day the fun don’t stop.

This should hold a bit more now it’s turned up, 835nm a bit more  and some polly bushes for good measure in preparation for some Dyno fun.

Another big thanks to Giles at Abbott Racicing for sorting this one out for me 8)

Thanks Paul, it’s definitely going to be the most agreesive clutch I’ve ever used to date, unfortunately I’m probably going to have to wait till next summer before I can have a little more action but this should be in by next weekend.

Spent a few hours with Karl last week looking over the log pulls just incase I put it back on the rollers in December.

Your wastegate using spring only to control boost? Instructions I read said use 1 bottom air port and block other 2 and leave top open. Top of yours is blocked, just an observation. Been waiting for more updates on this.
EDIT: 1 of the 2 is open so maybe that fine.

Top port is closed as using the banjo barb is too tight so I blocked the top port opened the side port, still using apc for boost control it’s just that it’s hidden.

The WG has multi ports, depending on your application you can use top and bottom if you want to run it that configuration as well. It’s also possible to use diverted pressure across both ports.

Note the 522 run was with .7bar spring on this turbo
Don’t read too much into the images as there have been some different setups applied for testing.

Re-updates there’s not much too update really, I hit my goal and hopefully I’ll swing past it next pass, who know what I’ll do next year but I may put even more power to it just for the hell of it, car drives pritty good to be fair just that really it needs to be kept under 4K....

Anyway was was the update that you were hoping for ?

Small update, the guys at Malcome miles Saab Leicester managed to get mine squeezed in to drop the gearbox for me and fit the further uprated sintered 4 puk plate, at the same time they replaced my subframe poly bushes too.. makes perfect sense.

I poped over this morning with a new vibrant V band clamp just to complete the install, personnely im not used to the luxury of a ramp but certainly makes for fitting the Dp much easier.

Surprisingly I was extremely surprised that the feel was virtually the same as before if not better tbh, but at least it will definitely cope with the even more power now with no real sacrifice.

Big thanks to Andy, Jay, Neil at Malcome Miles Indipendant Saab specailist for getting this job done for me at such short notice in preparation for the up coming Dyno Day in December at street racers, also bumped into the 9-5 Soc registra Jay King getting his haldex serviced ready for some fun too.

Old SRE plate once removed, still has plenty of life in it.

Thanks for that, it’s pleasing to know that others can appreciate the time and effort that goes into something like this and just doesn’t disappear off the radar, I’m still pushing it just for fun really just to see what it’s capable of.

I’ve got some other things in the pipeline for it this summer be my plan is just to enjoy it.

Thanks for taking time to look and comment..
