Whilst on the subject of the Panhard rod I know the bushings at each end are different - am I right in saying that the rod is completely straight, in other words you can't put it the wrong way around one you have the bushings right ??? :?:

Hi Beta, the wide end goes onto the body and the other on the axle

Hi Rich, yes that would work for one side but how do you take in the other wheel?

That thing looks soo clean! :geek:

I have a 9sport panhard rod installed under my 900. Shortening about 5mm was needed with Abbott springs to relocate the axle properly.

I see you still use bushings, the 9sport one uses ball joints.

Made quite a positive difference in cornering without loosing comfort!

Hi Krizzie, I did think of using ball joints but thought that road noise would be transmitted through them, your one looks the part though.

Kerbing a rear wheel hard would also have the potential to do a fair bit more damage than if flexible bushes were used.

would a spacer on one rear wheel hub have compensated

Might make it look better to the very few people who would have noticed the wheels were offset but it wouldn't make the springs sit vertically, which is the real problem.

There's no notable difference in road noise, I haven't noticed any downsides to it.

Kerbing wheels isn't one of my hobbies. ;)

Spacers would be a bad workaround in my opinion.. You install the bar to prevent tire rub, putting one wheel further outside is just making it worse..

Beautiful!
Would be great to see a full photoshoot of this car - you can never have enough pictures of something like this!
It's a real credit to you and all your hard work. 8)

Thank you, I will get some better photos when the sunny days come, so you might have to wait a while.

Apart from the general 'as new-ness' it's so refreshing to see a c900 that isn't sagging on its rear springs. Nice stance on that.

Hi Ian, I hope things are going well with the Saab! Did you ever get any more photos of the completed car?

Hi Angus, I haven't taken much photos of her really, just ones for the insurance agreed value, there is another one of it on The Definitive 'spotted' thread ! on page 239 which Ron57RC took at the Fraserburgh Rally. I see you are getting on with your one again, do you think you will have it on the road this year?

Ian

OK I will take a look. Yes I plan to get stuck back in to it and finally get it completed. There is still tons to do but it's all coming together at last.

Hi, I have had to update my thread as photobucket were needing money for what they call third party hosting, so I'm now using Flickr, some of the posts I can't change as I never posted them.It was difficult to guess the photos that were for each post as photobucket had blanked them so apologies if I have missed a few.

Here are a few photos , the first couple are of the three generations of Aero and the other two are at my Son's house with his collection of Saabs

The blue 900 was mine too
