So where are the SAAB 9000 parts for sale?
In the "Older classics and collectible - Parts for Sale" section I hear you say.
Well, why are there so many 9000 parts for sale in the "Post GM era - parts for sale" section?
Plus a few in the "Older classics and collectible - Parts for Sale" section.
Please explain!
A REALLY GOOD search function in all the sections would be a great idea, especially as there must be tons of useful information and advice in the WORKSHOP section but with 865 pages I'm not sure I could find anything.
Regards, Dave Smith.
PS: It didn't seem 'broke' to me so don't understand why it had to be 'fixed'.

The reason for the split in the adverts is we have just amalgamated a few forums and changed others. There are too many posts to go through them all as we have lives outside UKS you know  As adverts get locked or auto pruned (takes about 30 days) it will leave only the relevant ones, so in a months time it will make sense!

We have done the changes as some of the forums were getting very little traffic as the Saab owning demographic changes over time. Once settled it should make more sense and mean there are not forums with 1 or 2 posts.

As for the search engine, we are stuck with what the forum software provider provides. As an alternative try google using uksaabs space model space and what you are searching for. I have been told this works well, but personally have not tried it as the forum one has always worked for me.

Hope that helps/explains a bit of our thinking. Suggestions and comments are always welcomed.

Thanks. I appreciate and understand the hard work that goes into the site - thanks to all concerned.
I'm not sure, however, if you intend to have SAAB 9000 entries in both the post GM era section and the classic section.
Dave.

9000 stuff will go in the classic section. Everything after the 9000 will go in the GM section.

Thanks. However I feel I need to point out where it all might not work as you hope and suggest. If you look at the present listing for the "GM Era - Parts For Sale" section you will see several listings for 9000 - and some 900 - parts. Have these items been mistakenly listed? If in future items items from a single vendor need to be separated and put in the two sections instead of just a single "parts for sale" section, as has occurred until now, it needs to be pointed out to advertisers that they need to list their sales/wants in the correct section. As it stands, I need to look in both sections just to check that something isn't in the wrong section.
Regards, Dave.

As Nick has already said, as adverts get locked or auto pruned it will sort itself out.

I have also just moved some of the obvious 9000 & C900 ads into the correct forum.

It sometimes takes a little time to sort things out after a change, because again has Nick says we have lives outside the forum.

As for posting in the incorrect forum, the previous forums allowed for that as they were not as model specific as the new ones.
