Here is my 1998 Saab 9000 2.3fpt Anniversary
I bought it at the end of last year from Newcastle flying up from heathrow in the morning and spent all day driving back to sunny sussex and it didn’t miss a beat, i had been looking out for a nicely spec’d 9000 for months and when this popped up i had to have it.
Its one of the very last 9000’s ever made in 1998 and as it was a 1998 model and a 2.3fpt in the last year they throw all the aero parts on it from the factory (quite rare) including the td04, suspension, and seats, its in midnight blue too which is a really lovely colour.
It had a new mot last month that it flew through, i welded the back end up just before the mot so its now all nice and solid and 3m stone chipped the whole rear end, had a recent new waterpump and new exhaust manifold stud kit too.
Bits that its had since its left the factory:
Jules HT stage 4 map
T7 apc conversion
3 bar map sensor
630cc Siemens Deka Injectors
Walbro 255 Fuel Pump
3 inch jt exhaust system with race cat
3 inch big custom front mount intercooler
Maptun Dump valve
Maptun lightweight front strut brace
Custom Air intake
Painted front grille in body colour and saab badge smoothed off
Hid’s on dip beam
Brand new sachs race clutch a few months ago (costing £670!!!) along with a replacement aero box and new gearbox oil
New discs and pads all round
Bilsten B4 Shocks with lowering spring (unsure what springs)
Poly bush top engine steady/mount
Polybushed front and rear anti roll bar
Polybushed front lower arms
Yokohama Advan Ad08R tyres
Magnetic Sump Plug
Braided Clutch Line
Flocked stock anniversary steering wheel
Alpine Idax100 with hertz front speakers, stock rear speaker, vibe amp and sony xpload sub
Jam Saab Short Shifter (awesome bit of kit)
The bad bits:
The exhaust is getting a bit old now and is starting to rust
The front seats are a bit worn (i was planning on putting new ones in)
Front passenger tyre is low on tread
Rear springs have sagged slightly
It has some rust around the lower windscreen surround (was on the list)
If you know saabs you know how underestimated these things are, its a quick car and easily gives new focus rs turbo’s and the like a showing too, just before i got it did 276hp and 300ftlbs at the wheels but since i’ve now fitted a new map, t7 apc bigger injectors and is now running about 1.5-1.6 bar of boost, it really goes like a stabbed rat and pulls well in 3rd and 4th (spins in 1st and second along with boost limit)
Its done 236,000miles but don’t let that put you off as thats average mileage for these things and the only time it let me down over the 16,000miles i’ve done in it is when the serpentine belt snapped which i then put a new one on along with a tensioner wheel, its my daily driver so mileage will increase, you can also read my build thread here (viewtopic.php?f=35&t=161822&start=20) although i do need to update it.
I’m after £1850 for it and the car is based in Handcross, West Sussex
The only reason i’m selling is because i've just bought a 500hp 9000 aero, i wouldn't be selling this otherwise as i love this car.
