1978 99L 2dr. Rare Cerulean Blue.

I said I never would but lack of time along with recent and ongoing health issues mean I have reluctantly decided to sell this lovely 99.

I purchased it back in December 2014.
When I purchased it came with a fresh MoT, its first in nearly 18 years since it had been stored by the one previous owner.

The handbrake efficiency and a slight exhaust blow were the only advisories for its first MoT since 1995.

Because it had been off the road so long I was going to recommission it properly before use, 17 months later its still sat in my garage.

For the MoT above it had only had some work done on the brakes.

For someone with the time and know how its probably 3-4 days work getting it back on the road with a fresh MoT.

Jobs that need doing are exhaust (replacement included), brakes need sorting again (pedal goes to the floor) and it needs a good service.

I have been gathering a good few NOS spare parts and extras since I purchased and most of these will be included in the sale.

Now the car itself, any potential purchaser needs to come and look at how remarkably rust free it is for a mid 70's 99.
There are a few garage marks and a few small blemishes on the bodywork, but nothing that detracts from the overall condition and originality.

This is down to the rustproofing carried out by the previous owner. Its also no doubt due to being garaged all its life and the weekend only use until 1996.

During that 18 years of use between 1978 & 1996 it has covered just over 25k. Yes just over 25k.

As I said before come and look at it and you will have no doubt the mileage is genuine, plus the original service card is present.

The interior is dusty but again in excellent condition, the front seats have been covered since new.
The headlining will need sorting as it is doing the usual Bedouin tent impression.

So just to reiterate, this is an easy project without a current MoT that will need to be collected on a trailer.

But I doubt there are many left in such original and rust free condition.

Located in Nettleham near Lincoln.

Asking price is £1895.

That's a starting price, I will consider offers but only from those who have viewed the car.

I have fitted a pair of GLE mirrors, but the originals are with the car and can be refitted in 5-10 minutes.

Its never had a radio fitted, but there is a centre console and period radio cassette sat in the foot well ready for fitting which will be included.

I have also purchased a new pair of period looking rear shelf speakers which will also be included.

But its going to a UKSaaber who I know will look after it and enjoy it.
