Hi everyone

Up for sale is my 2004 9-5 aero. It has done 83000 miles. Selling earlier than expected as I need to free up some finances. I only purchased this in august from an forum member. The text from the orignal as is below as it details well what has been done to the car. I'll post some up to date pictures. Mechanically the car is great but as stated below the body work is not perfect.

"This 9-5 Aero is a very rare colour combination with Nocturne Blue paint and 2 tone sand/black leather interior. It also has a genuine low mileage of less than 80,000 miles! It has 2 previous keepers, a lot of service history and 2 keys. The MOT history can be checked online here - https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk/ where you'll see it has only ever failed or had advisories on consumable parts such as tyres and bulbs.

I purchased this car in February this year with the intention to make it a perfect example of a car I had always coveted - unfortunately as I've nearly finished doing so, a new company car allowance means I have to sell it. I intentionally focused on finding a 2004 or 2005 car as they have the revised PCV system to prevent oil sludge issues, the proper Saab interior (rather than the GM interior of later cars) and lower tax than the 55 registrations onward. Since purchasing the car, thousands has been spent in making it perfect and resolving/preventing any common problems. Since buying it, the following has been carried out

- New ABS control unit
- Sump dropped and cleaned, oil and filter replaced with genuine Saab fully synthetic (@76k)
- New thermostat
- New gearbox mounts
- Installation of Parrot MKi9200 bluetooth kit for phone/ipod, properly integrated with the Harmon Kardon amplified system
- 4 new Uniroyal Rainsport 3 high performance tyres (@78k)
- Gearbox fluid flush and replacement
- Air and pollen filters replaced
- Air conditioning pipe repair and regassed (still blows ice cold)
- Complete inspection by Saab specialist to locate a small boost leak, evap pipe replaced and health report provided
- Engine subframe bushes replaced with poly
- New ARB drop links
- Rear trailing arm bushes replaced with poly
- Rear rose bushes replaced with OEM rubber
- New front discs and high performance pads
- Snapped exhaust manifold studs replaced - involving cylinder head removal with new head gasket and manifold gasket
- New oil pressure switch
- New spark plugs and fuel filter
- Stage 1 ECU remap by Noobtune for 275bhp and 420nm torque (original ECU provided if you'd prefer it to be standard)

The result of all of this is a 9-5 Aero that drives better than it left the factory! It's smooth and compliant with none of the clunks and squeaks that older Saabs are renowned for. The gearbox is smooth and its very, very quick with the remap while still being easy to drive. With my usage I'm averaging over 30mpg, which is incredibly good for a car of this size with that much power. It doesn't burn or leak any oil and there's no missing pixels on the SID. Those who know these cars will see that every common problem has been addressed so it's ready to give years of reliable service.

You will not find another 9-5 for sale that is so well sorted and the work I've had done has cost nearly my asking price! This is a genuine enthusiast owned car in a very rare colour combination with an incredibly low mileage for the age.

It has all of the features of the standard 9-5 Aero but also has the Lux pack which adds auto wipers, memory seats/mirrors and heated rear seats. It has the higher spec AS3 (Harman Kardon) stereo too and the Parrot system makes this usable with today's technology.

That's all the good stuff, a few small bad points to note. First is the exterior - there's NO rust or accident damage but there's a number of small scuffs and previous touchup jobs - nothing too untoward for a 12 year old car but a few hours with a smart repair shop wouldn't hurt. The parking sensors only work intermittently but I'm sure its just one of the sensors needing replaced - they're about £30 each to replace, I just never got around to sorting it. Finally, it has recently come up with a fault code which relates to the DI cassette (a common issue) - on inspection there's a small crack in it. However, I've just ordered a replacement and you'll get the current one as a spare in the boot."

Really fancy an re-mapped 95 Aero, would you consider an exchange for a particularly well looked after (just spend £500 on it) 95 V6 estate and some cash your way?

Wife will kill me though as also just bought back my old 9000 (which needs some £ spending on it) from a forum member (I keep losing my login name/email/password) but was maidstonesaab / saabmaidstone!

cheers,
Adrian.

Any chance you can upload a picture highlighting any bodywork issues?

Not for sale any more - had a change of heart - fitted some winter tyres. Will put back on market early next year after the winter!
