Ok guys, I've been mulling this idea around my head for a while. I've organised a couple of meets in the past along with a few Dyno days and 8 London tunnel runs. Since there is a distinctive lack of UKS social gatherings in this part of the world, I thought i'd give it another go, but slightly different to everywhere else.

So then Saab petrolheads, anoraks, spanner twirlers and hooligans. How about we get together one evening/weekend at Buckmore Park Kart circuit and go head to head with each other? They have pre-organised races with simple online booking or if we get enough of us we could have exclusive use. The circuit venue has huge parking, excellent catering facilities and spectators are treated to a view of almost the entire track and with live online lap timing everyone can see how we are doing.

Cost per person is largely dependant on which type of event we go for. A simple 30min endurance organised by buckmore is around £65 which consists of a 10min practice/qualifier then a 30min race from a standing start. The price will include all the safety gear needed. Exclusive usage cost will be higher of course.

So what do you all think?
Who would be up for a saab drivers race next year?

cheaper than a track day, and a level playing field (well, some of us will be carrying a little more performance ballast than others  )
Time for UKSaabers to put their money where their mouths are

I for one would be very interested in going - especially as it's a 10min drive from home :D
Now I'll have to have a think about a suitable venue for post-race food........

I could be interested but would depend on many variables.
Will certainly look out for it.

A fair way from me but probably worth the trip.

Interest registered.

Might one day get around to the 234 conversion.
