Hi everyone,

Apologies for the short notice of this - it’s only just dawned on me to publicise it on here - advancing maturity etc!

Just for the sake of it, I’ve organised a ‘classic’ car run for anyone who’d care to take part on Friday 27th September. It’s a friendly, very informal event, there are no forms to complete to join in - just turn up. For ‘classic’ read anything that’s remotely interesting, even if it’s just you that thinks so!

There’ll be a variety of classic/interesting metal on view on the day, with a variety of characters too! We’re going to Brooklands Museum in Weybridge, Surrey, with breakfast halt at the Jackaroo Cafe at Thruxton Racing Circuit. The suggested route is a series of A roads avoiding the M3, (details on request) or sat nav to suit yourself.

RV at Cartgate picnic area just outside Yeovil at 08.00. Breakfast halt at 09.30, arrive Brooklands at 12 noon. Depart at approx 16.30, stop at comfortable hostelry on the way back for pie and a pint - and of course a chinwag. All times are approximate, with the exception of the RV time.

As this is a turn up and drive informal event, there is no mechanical help offered or breakdown recovery.

If anyone would like to take part, have fun, meet new people etc, you’d be most welcome, please email me at - dunhookin@yahoo.co.uk and I’ll send you the itinerary and suggested route.

With best regards

Andy Hopper
