This year’s "How Many Left ?" event will take place on Sunday, May 12th at the Grampian Transport Museum in Alford.

The format will be the same as last year and there is no charge to enter.
GTM have chosen to hold it on Sunday 12th to avoid clashing with other local Classic Vehicle events (the BA Stores Vintage Country Fair on 19th and Crathes Vintage Car & Motorcycle Rally on 26th).
But sadly this means that it now clashes with Swedish Day (and for me, the Inverness Classic Car Show).

If you are able to attend (and meet the vehicle criteria), the entry form for the event is available at www.gtm.org.uk/how-many-left-form/ .

Hope someone can keep the Saab flag flying !

What sort of condition do the cars need to be in to participate? My 9000 looks good from far but on closer inspection has quite a few bodywork issues. Its also got quite a few underbonnet modifications such as silicone hoses ect. Are they supposed to be standard examples?

Guys
Greetings from South Uist!

I've had to cancel my planned trip to Swedish day.
I have to be somewhere on Saturday, but this does mean I should be able to make Alford on Sunday 12th. if they'll accept a late entry
from me.
I've just E mailed Grampian Motor Museum this morning, so we'll see what comes.

Maybe see you all there.

Andy

I also hope to be there on Sunday if they are accepting late entries.
I called today but the events department aren’t in so will be calling back tomorrow.

I figure Jim will be flying the 99 flag so I will take the Vauxhall Viva.

Maybe we will get a race between a Viva and a 99?
Hmm I think I know which will win

My late entry has been accepted so I will see you all there.

Jim. Aye we did an island tour, 6 of us. Started from Oban, ferry to Barra for 2 nights, then ferry to Eriskay (of Whisky Galore fame), across the causeway to South Uist, 2 nights in Lochboisdale, then ferry to Mallaig, down to Kilchoan on the Ardnamurchan peninsula, from where we took a ferry to Tobermory on Mull for one night. Meal in Cafe Fish in Tobermory, (the real reason we went to Mull was to eat there), then ferry from Fishnish to Lochahaline, and finally home via the Corran Ferry.
6 ferries in 6 days!!!
All in the wee Nissan Figaro.

Andy

Brilliant Andy.
I'll hear all about it on Sunday.
We are Going from Aberdeen to Portree, UIG, Tarbert, Armadale, Mallaig, Ardgour, Corran Ferry, Ft.William and back to Aberdeen over The Lecht later this year.
p.s I have Deggsie's Flag and my Sitooterie for you to take to Glamis.
I don't know where TfatC is but I willpick up the UKSaabs Banner at some stage.
Jim

I love the Grampian Transport Museum, it's where I organised my first Saab meeting about a decade ago when I lived in Aberdeen. Hope this event doesn't coincide with Swedish Day next year, would be a nice excuse for a trip up north.

Melle

It always seems to be the same weekend.
Certainly was last year.

It was a different weekend last year (27 May), GTM changed the date this year to avoid clashing with other local shows (mainly Crathes Vintage Car and Motorcycle Rally on 26th and another on 19th) - has Swedish Day also moved ?
