Wow!!!
The car looks absolutely stunning David. Certainly gives inspiration to get ones backside into gear and get on with my own Turbo.
Well done to You and Martin

looks like new. is the green pinstripe trim on the bumpers an original touch or your choice? i like the effect it has. martin certainly seems to have mastered this car fixing lark. i imagine you were a very proud man today with the car having its first major outing?

Green? It's chrome so shiny that the grass is reflected in it

You're not wrong Richard.
The chrome strip has reflected the grass.

Though there are a couple of small events over the coming month, I guess the next SAAB outing will be either Swedish Day or the SAAB stand at the Bristol Classic Car Show next year.

Thanks again to everyone for your positive comments over the rebuild - I feel many here have been part of the journey.

Even better "in the flesh" than in the photos :envy: . Nice one, David (and Martin, of course).

Interesting little comment from Anne yesterday, when asked what the next project is going to be: "No more! I've done a Rover and a Saab, I'm not doing another one! Hmmmmmmm   .

That bonnet is worth a second photo. You just have to put up with a picture of me (and someone else who "unfortunately distorted")

Can you put up some more pics of the completed car, the engine bay interior suspension etc? I can't get enough of this car!

Hmm...
this confirms the rumour:

word goes around that you originally bought two 99t-80 back in the old days-
and you finally brought the other one into daylight in the year of 2012 :D

Stunning is the word, in lack of other words.

You might do an update to the insurance-company now I suppose?!

cheers from the never-ending-raining-Scandinavia
/Jonas
