Hi all,

Had a search back and there does not appear to be one of these threads.
This is the sort of topic that should be a Sticky really.

So i am in the market for a Double DIN head unit.

I have some Criteria.
Must have analogue volume control. Twiddly knob.
Must be genuine Andriod, not some cracked Chinese thing with no Play store.
Must have GPS, and a really good quality amplifier section.
Must have full hands free.
Apple CarPlay would be nice, but not 100% necassary.
Perhaps the ability to attach a 3rd party remote control stalk to the steering column.

I will be using the "NavMii" software as i get on well with that.

Any thoughts people ?.

Hi, I'm looking at the same thing but different specs in 9-3 2010. I want Android auto to use google maps sat nav. It works well in my partners new Suzuki.
With DAB radio.
Looking at the Sony XAV-AX3005DB at the moment, about £300 but another £90 for a connection fitting kit thats still not plug and play as far as I can see...

Can the regular radio aerial lead be used for the DAB radio?

No, wrong frequency band, you can get a glass mount DAB aerial or fit a different blade on the roof.

If your car has the telephone aerial fitted (might be a loose aerial connection behind the headunit) then you can use this for the DAB aerial. I've been using it for about a year now, works great. Have a look at my topic here for more info.
