I am not particularly an audiophile but I think the time to replace at least some of the system is approaching.
The steering wheel controls no longer work and the touch screen has also stopped working. The radio is not tuned to a station, so that just leaves the stereo cycling through the 6 disc changer in the boot. Not a problem as I can still extract and replace the discs at will.

I have never been the world's biggest fan of double din stereos, so am quite tempted to fit something like this :

This will let me fit a single din nicely. Now I like the sound quality I get from the current amp and speakers....... will this allow me to just plug and play a new head unit? Ideally I want to keep everything as simple as possible.
I am not unduly bothered about keeping the CD changer......

The DIN reducer will do the job Rich! I had the cubby on top and below versions on a few of me 9-5's. I can't remember which is the better option though.

Pre Dame audio is easy. Even Dame audio is fairly easy after todays events! :park:

My advice, start cheap. Then add on bits if needed.

People said that I needed some more bits to get the Pioneer A-3300 working on a Dame. I only bought the 20-170 (ish) adapter that Lancer pointed out to me. Nothing else.

Even the Pioneer rule book said that the A-3300 can't be fitted in my car. What do I know though?

I already had the new surround frame.
