Is it possible to replace the current cassette radio in a 2001-9-5 with a sat nav unit or MP3 radio unit and still keep the steering wheel controls active Thanks

Yes. It’s a standard double DIN sized head unit. You ideally need a head unit with line. Level output if you have the Saab 7 speaker system with the amplifier. If you only have four speakers, there is no amp and you can use the speaker feeds on the new head unit.
