Cheers - shame on the camera, I didn't even try to go our with it on... nevermind.

It was Aerohead who read the speedo and I was close to flat out in 4th which is bang on that speed but my concentration was elsewhere!

There was a fantastic mix of cars there - will definitely go back - It had the feel of everyone out for a blast after a day at work as opposed to a easy day out at the weekend.

I did see a Yetti but it must have been going too fast for me!

Were you there ??

Wish I'd seen this before, although I wouldn't have been able to get the day off work anyway. Would have been an ideal first run out on track for the MX5, even if I would have been going backwards in comparison to you guys on the straights.

Good to hear :)

Sadly I couldn't make it, would've love to have come though.. The eve sessions can be a bit manic but a lot of the drivers are pretty dedicated :)

The yetti could also be called the dreamcrusher!

It has fancy brakes and suspension... Oh and over 500 bhp and 4wd! Lol it's a beast...

Here he is with me at Snetterton.. Was my first few laps there but he was quicker! Do want a rematch though ;)

Just love the idea of it, a mutilated suv going quicker than pretty much everything!

Great news Phil.. Sounds like yous had a good session, bumper holes work great eh..
Next plan would be coilovers when you can transfer weight around the car which will help on tyres.. some ducting routed through to the brakes will also cool things down..
Maps now please

That Yeti is bonkers, TT-RS motor in it. Some decent youtube vids as well.

Was a great afternoon this  nice warm sunny day, close to home and some very nice metal in attendence. I turned up as a supercar-type event was on...........

got to watch a few cars being ragged (Ferrari 360 and 360spider, Mclaren MP4-12C, a couple of Aston V8's, an Audi R10 V8, Ariel atom and a supercharged atom, plus a race school Holden V8 - lovely, dirty noise that one!).

Then the fun started

A couple of excellent passenger rides - really impressed with Faero's motor.........has a huge amount of poke, but a very nice smooth delivery and seemingly endless amounts of grip. It really does fly! Helps that I also fit very snugly into the bucket seats.........slender racing snakes may find they get thrown about a little more

The passenger ride in the 911 was also very enjoyable

I was a tad surprised by the Yeti and it's turn of pace........not so much now I know what is lurking under the bonnet. Something does need to be done about the ride height though, it's like it is on stilts.

A few photos and videos to follow once all my paperwork is sorted out tonight

Apolgies to Phil for taking a long time to get these all sorted :bag:
Finally managed to squeeze in some time to get the photos uploaded................so here they are for your enjoyment (plus a small video).
Alas I am no papparazzi, nor professional, so the quantity is not huge and the quality ok(ish).

Thanks Rich! Nice to have some evidence and some good shots there. Potentially the shortest ever view of my car in the vid too!

Since the track day I've chopped a bit more out of the rear springs to stiffen them a touch more - and fitted spacers to compensate.

Also have brake cooling ducts on the way to help reduce the billowing furnace of heat that we saw from the front wheels!

Gutting some foglights?

Where will the air go? Some vents at the rear of the wheel arch will help nicely 8)
