I went round in a Saab, but I wasn't driving.

Great fun, but not for the inexperienced. It's not good value for one lap on one afternoon.

You need to be doing it a few times before you get the best out of it. It's a public road and some cars will have hundreds of hp more than you. And then you will find coaches on there in your way!!

No problem! :)

I've only been once and as a passenger. It made me realise that it could be very disappointing to go all that way for one lap and expect to be amazed.

I go on holiday to than area a lot. I would make it part of a holiday.

I think soulfirer (kev) went about 15 years ago for his 50th birthday. Or it was cancelled cos his motor blew up. One or the other it's a nearly true story.

Been on a SC group-trip my fist visit 11 years ago, and I lead a group from Saab Central 8 years ago, lots of fun & laughs. Been there with my 9000 perhaps a dozen times. Best track anywhere, and the most dangerous.
Never seen a coach out, but have had some interesting experiences with bikes...

Seen a few Saabs racing there, this is Kei from Hamburg

Image

This happened to a immaculate 900 on my first group visit

Image

Was a passenger in this 9000 Aero that spun-out big time

Image

Spilled some of my own Saab blood there as well, but it is worth it for moments like this

Image

Image

my 9000R should be ready by then, so yes, I'd be up for a Saab trip to the Ring next year

Hi All,

I can confirm that a bog standard 9000 CDE will show a totally clean pair of heels to a Porsche 993 thats right on your bumper coming into Bergwerk, if you keep your foot well in until Karussell.

Much fun to be had, but take it easy at first!

Planning a crafty visit to The Ring first weekend in October; perhaps I shall see some fellow Saab fiends in the green hell :)

Second most dangerous track, the TT mountain circuit looks far more dangerous to me.

Was talking about going the other day to the missus, Never been on holiday abroad togehter.... Thought of driving to france/germany with a sneaky trip to the Burg,

Didnt realise it was one lap only..which is a shame, cant get the most out of it in one

You can do as many single laps as you want. Just pay at the barrier each time.
