Finally got around to sorting one of the little probs the car had when I bought it - drivers window wouldn't work, real pain in the A** at car parks for the ticket etc.

Thought it was the switch as that one didnt feel right - fixed it using Johno's guide in the how to section on here 8)

Also have booked the car in for the new brake discs, pads & calliper carriers to be fitted at Nottm Saab

Going upto 308mm Aero Size 8)

Now running 308mm Aero sized front brakes & new rear discs/pads as well Fitted by Nottingham Saab - all pagid supplied by Neos.

Will report back on them once they've bedded in :corn:

Front 308mm aero calliper carriers & new discs/pads

Rear new discs & pads

Have been wanting to do this upgrade to the fronts for a while now as i think the stock 288mm brakes struggle a bit with the extra weight of the 9-5 compared to the 9-3 which uses the same brakes.

Also fitted some 16mm Eibach hubcentric wheel spacers I had knocking around to the front wheels - before refitting them

& yes fitted with longer wheel bolts.

Fronts wheels now fill the arches nicely

Just need to get some spacers for the rears now

Good work on the brakes. It doesnt take long to clean them up and paint them, and makes the car look so much cleaner than a rusty mess behind the wheels :)

I've had the Pagid disks with Red Stuff pads on for a while now, and cant fault them Kev, lovely finish too with the silver coating on them.

Red Stuff take 1 brake cycle to warm up, but are fine after, cant comment on the Pagid pads.

Think im gonna need a more aggresive pad TBH - think ive been spoilt with 4 pot big brake kits on the 9-3

Pagid Discs seem good though, painted - so dont go rusty in unswept area of discs.

Bit of an update - Had an Aero TD04 turbo fitted today by Wessy

Then a little trip over to Saabnoobs for a stge 3 remap 8) - FPR was a mare to remove - dodgy bolt in it which we had to cut off before we could fit he 3.5bar one :wall:

All good now though - Many thanks to Karl & Wessy.

Had a decent run out to a Friends near Chesterfield today - car drives great with the increased power/torque - forgot how good stage 3 is 8) 8)

However it has shown up the fact that I really do need the Aero suspension I have here fitting

Aero suspension now fitted -feels much better, more controlled & looks better with the lower ride height - it doesn't look like a 4x4 now

Also glad we replaced the droplinks & front track rod ends -as the originals where goosed - saved a whole lotta grief :loco:

Pic with Aero suspension fitted.

Well it took all of 20 seconds to do - not sure if 9-5 one is same as 9-3 one think its a larger pedal/rubber.

the 9-3(well my vintage was long and narrow, and flipping unflexible even after a swim in red hot water.

Yeah its different then - funny shape the 9-5 one wider in the middle then narrows again.
