the gate is on at last just need to sort the pipe back into the down pipe

the downpipe will have to have another v band to have a chance of getting at the ext gate to mock up the pipe once the turbo is back on the car

These ting Wang manifolds look nice from the outside but the internal finish is pretty rough so it's taken a while to port and flow the inside properly .

It took 2hours on a big belt sander to get the flanges straight again after all the Tig work . Last hurdle now and I'm up and running again as long as nothing else trips me up

dave what size external gate did you got for as my he341 is boosting so much still on the internal wastegate im thinking if im taking it off again i may as well go external gate, to give me better boost control, hit 2.5 bar the other day

also what pressure spring in the wastegate im guessing 0.9 bar???

44mm but I'm sure 38 will be fine for you .I'm starting with a 1bar spring as I have a switch to turn the apc off for low boost .

that what i was thinking 38 should be ok better than the 19mm in the internal gate, got the same switch for turning the boost on to base boost already, handy when someone else uses my car

back on the road and first impressions of the turbone are pretty good , spool starts at 3300rpm and im on base boost of 1 bar at 4000rpm .as usual there are a couple of things i want to change namely the box for a 4.05 diff now i dont have the supercharger,s help . that brings the top speed down to the 140mph mark but will make a big difference to response and keeping it on boost changing gear .
