Yeah - sorry it's been a bit slow going recently, getting all the parts together for the new engine & GT30 installation, Exhaust manifold (Speedparts) is a 4 week delivery so thats kinda put everything behind schedule :(

However the GT3071R is here & it looks freekin massive  and the car is now booked into Nottm Saab on the 28th for those guys to install the B234 engine, the GT30 & a quaiffe atb diff + a host of ther small bits & a smattering of polybushes 8)

Should be an exciting ride home when it's done - more pics to follow.

A big thanks to some of the guys on here for there help & advice (Sorry for so many questions  ) & especially to Faero & of course Wessy who must be getting fed up with my calls by now.....

Also have fitted an aero rear wing instead of my o.e boot spoiler, battery carbon look cover & new badges on the boot lid - so I have been doing something

Have also fitted a 2 bar boost gauge in a carbon look pillar pod.

Ooooh, yum yum.
That last photo is a thing of beauty.
8)
With the tubular manifold...does it move the turbo away to the right (As we look at the photo) slightly, or is it as central as the standard manifold?

Thanks nev - yes the exhaust manifold does move the turbo location (to the right as you look at this pic.) thats one of the reasons we decided on this one - it then gives more space around the water pump for the turbo / induction pipe to miss it.

Thought so. It did look a bit 'roomy' near to the water pump area.
Good luck with the project. 8)

Bucket seats & harnesses fitted today ready for mallory - no pic yet as it was dark when we finished

Will try & get some tommorrow. - And as i thought it does throw an airbag warning light - but we think we know how to get rid of it - more info to follow.

Have put 250 miles on the new engine in 24 hours - since the fuelling problem was sorted - thanks again McVities :D

To get rid of airbag warning light just install resistors between the cables which go to the airbags at the connector below the seat. If you light it up though I recall you need TECH to get rid of it, even if you fix the fault.
