Oooops, I think I may have accidentally bought myself a Saab 90  Not that I was looking for another car etc etc but this turned out to be quite a funny coincidence: Surfing eBay as we all do (don't we??) I came across this car advertised in Kent, just one bad picture and a very short description along the lines of 'loads of spares, can't be bothered listing so contact me'. So far so normal but the sellers' eBay name rang a bell so I messaged asking if it was possible that I bought a black 99T off him some 7 years back? 'Hello Peter, how is HJM360W these days?' was the reply! A flurry of emails later (some in french, don't ask) and I agreed to liberate him of his last classic and all the accumulated spares in his garage :D Collection is being arranged for next weekend and I'm VERY curious to see what I've actually bought once it reaches Suffolk (I genuinely have no idea the condition of the car, the quality and quantity of the spares but if you can't trust a Saab lover, then who can you trust?)

Will keep you updated!

Peter

OK, here’s the update (roll the drum someone)...

SHE’S ROTTEN AS A PEAR! :(

Never mind, plenty of spares to be picked and I should get some of my money back when I weigh her in. Strange how in my short career as a Saab addict, this is the second 90 I will have scrapped.

Onwards and onwards

Peter

Hi Mal, thanks for posting the picture. There is a colour code label under the bonnet, I’ll have a look in the morning. P

I cannot tell from the photo if its Rose Quartz or silver (it looks more like silver).

If its Rose Quartz then it matches the colour of the only 99/90 that I have broken which was also rotten as a pear underneath.

Hello Ian, NO, you are not adopting this one  It’s probably not beyond salvation but I have better cars needing my attention so this one will become a donor. I took a bit of a gamble buying it unseen but don’t regret doing so. P

Hi Peter,

I was not sure from that photo alone.

I've not seen all that many RHD 90's in silver.
