I know I'll get rubbished and slated for this...... But, 16" wheels are a darn site better on an og than 17", roadholding is better, comfort is still retained and tyres are cheaper ha ha ha (that's the main reason) I'm tight
I like the look of these wheels, as they are from a 9-3ss the offset is different so that helps, and the extra rubber between me and the road makes it more supple over the bumps.

Double Ys may look cool but these are better IMO as the car is built to be driven rather than looked at!

Ade did the alternator change yesterday. Drove to work this morning with the roof down, radio on and with no bother!

Better than the battery light bong everytime I stopped at lights and junctions before.

Fingers crossed for the drive home!

I would really quite like to be driving it now. Unfortunately I have a massive gap in Parent's evening appointments so I'm just drinking tea until 6pm.

I have had a few beers so probably not a good idea.
Can you go and get a video for me?
I will see it in slow motion.

I made it home! A bit later than planned, at around 2015. The roads were generally clear and the car behaved very well indeed, certainly a blue flash several times!

There was one section that really tested the alternator fault though. I'd had the battery bong in D while stationary before, tonight there was a closed road resulting in 10 cars going head to head on a single track road trying to get around it. That was 15 mins of mainly stationary stuff without fault. Success!

I am a Special Educational Needs specialist teacher, doing SEN assessments, planning provision and suchlike. I also teach a bit of Geography, SEN Science and some emotional resilience lessons. Lessons in driving with a heavy right foot would be private tuition! Although I am a reformed character much of the time in the other car now... Mostly!

Sorry for not seeing the thread sooner, my Grandfather passed away last night and I was in the phone to my Mum for a while when I got home. Sometimes Saabs come second ;) !
