Well i didnt think this would ever happen, but im back in Saab ownership !.
Still cannot stop smiling at the moment, so happy with it.

Welcome to my 6th Saab. A 1997 9000 Aero 2.3T Manual.
137k on the clock, 1 owner from new. Completely stock apart from an Abbott Racing exhaust.

I plan on keeping this mostly stock, other than applying my map from my previous Aero.

Its going to be a joy.
Cannot wait to get it Decontaminated, Clayed, 2 staged mopped and then Ceramic coated.
To be fair the paint is in very good condition. It does have swirl marks but they are not too bad.

Still waiting for a 95 9000 Aero with TCS and preferably factory sunroof.

I think I'll be waiting a long time now.

I thought your back problem was the reason for selling the red one?

Well my problem discs are now fused and i also have a Nevro HF10 Spinal Cord Simulator implant, which reduces chronic pain.
The SCS has certainly changed my life in the last year for sure. But i also have artificial hips to work with.
Unfortunately, im a 9000 addict so just having one back has made me feel 1000x better as well.

:D

Great news! I'm really pleased for you, a great car by the looks of things and now you have a matching pair in the family.

I look forward to seeing it and hearing about what you do to it.

Rob

I'm mildly OCD. I like every fuse slot filled (with a fuse that's actually doing the job its marked for on the list).

Looks a lovely car Paul, nothing like a 9k Aero. Not easy to find such a perfect condition example, prices have firmed up last couple years as supply has dropped.

Not easy to find such a perfect condition example,

it didnt look that hard
it was advertised he went and bought it the lucky lucky sod
im amazed how long a nice one is up for sale before someone buys it
and hardly any nice 9000s sold are bought by one of us on here im disabled so have stopped buying cars
you then have this issue in the future how much does it become worth before you think i could use that amount of money
the more there worth the more people are persuaded to sell the nice ones hidden away

its good a nice one ends up with someone who loves it and will treat it right
not just any idiot with the money needed to buy it then ruins it

so does your mrs now want a black shiny saab
