Keep your eyes peeled for someone in a zebra-skin suit.

What :cen: s do this? Saabs of this era are not what I would have thought yer average yoof scrote/crim would be interested in. I can't see it being someone "borrowing" a car to get home. (That happened to my mum's Fiesta). So to me it's sadly looking like someone who knows about Saabs or their value in bits.

I really do hope it's found very soon with no damage of note.

Car found in Hull. I can't bear to see it but apparently there is Significant damage to N/S A post. As if reversing at high speed and swerving into a lamppost. Same alloy replaced by space saver which is flat. Damage to underside & exhaust blowing.
That's me finished with cars now.

Frustrating, but it's not been burnt out - bent metal can be repaired - have a look at some of the stuff Artur Tussik straightens out on his You Tube channel. Don't give up on it.

Possibly the worst outcome, really sorry, Julian. Does the plod have a view on whether they will catch the scrotes that took it?

:( Really sorry to hear that Julian, I was hoping it would be found with minimal if any damage.

Some people need to hung up by the bits that usually hang down.
...and plod won't be bothered looking for the perpetrators

Its not so much that they cannot be bothered, they just do not have the resources.

They probably have an idea of who it is, but even if they can prove it the courts keep letting them off with just a slapped wrist.

Julian, so sorry to read about this. Please don't give up on her! This here is an amazing support network so let me be the first one to offer help with any parts you may need to put Bianca back on the road. Assuming the A post area is the same as on the 99, I have a donor shell which could yield the necessary cuts. Keep smiling and don't let the barstools win. P

It's in the hands of the insurance company and the Gods now.
The car was seen between 2-3am this morning speeding and swerving on the wrong side of Cottingham Road in Hull, witnesses said it was being revved within an inch of its life. My guess is they ran out of petrol because it was just under 1/4 tank and very thirsty when driven hard.
The damage, although I haven't seen it myself because I can't bear to, is reminiscent with being reversed at high speed then swerved into a lamp post striking between nearside "A" pillar and front wheel. The pillar is twisted and Impact area is deep.
Whether the salvage company let me buy it back is another matter, but I don't think I could do anything with it. I just don't have the heart anymore.

Unless you take the initiative and get the vehicle back immediately, neither you nor anyone else will have the chance to put the car back on the road. It's YOUR car, not the insurers.

Doesn't look very bad going by those pics.
Surely worth repairing.
All according what's under there I know.

Looks repairable. Wing. Bonnet. The rest looks as if it will realign. The pillar can't be too bad, the windscreen is still intact. Although the passenger door has moved back. So something at the front is bent.

May not be an economic repair though. :(
