Hi Palo, thanks for the interest.. hear are some before images for the rebuild I had taken after removing the engine from e3, there's plenty of new parts to fit to exceed what e3 had.

You could say been there done that 3 times & now a fourth :wall: but nevmimd I have the capability to do it again but with a little twist this time to try something different.

Ade

Blimey  I assume all the black in the engine where it should be golden and shiny is down to the large melted holes in the piston allowing lots of gases into the crankcase? :argh:

What made the timing chain go so slack?

I believe it is, but it would seem the OP wants to keep it to himself.

No pistons were harmed in this event & the timing chain goes slack when you remove the tensioner and associated parts.

Yes it is an ongoing project.

Thanks for looking Ade

Looks like someone had a big engine bay fire as the whole engine looks like it has been cooked from the outside?

Indeed Ade two sugars was it  ...this is way way above my pay grade, obviously there's hell of a lot more that's been disclosed elsewhere as she don't let me rest,
This tea picking lark ain't all as it's cracked up to be

I take it you've removed the black coating under the mushroom heads, if not the mushroom head bolts will need re tightening over a period of time as the coating slowly gets crushed.

The garage..garages are out of bounds to me so I just stick to painting by numbers & loading the tumble dryer & now I've expanded a little & now experimenting with microwave ovens
