I'm hoping this will be my last conversion project....... but who knows..
I need to start restoring my 96 and T16s etc..
I've always been a Ford nut, especially Cosworths and liked the new shape Focus so picked up a local mk2 cheap as the zetec engine had signs of big end knock.. that is the death of these Yamaha engine..
So plan is to convert to facelift model and see if I can squeeze in a B234..
I like to do projects nobody else has done.. so here goes..

Here we go again last conversion project heard that before  and you know there is still another to be done so get your skates and get it ripped apart.

Maybe you could be entered into Guinness book of records for fitting Saab engines to most different makes of car.

Anyhow, 1st job measure up engine bay and get the engine and box ripped out..
You can pick these alloy engines up by hand and carry them about.. so light..

It doesn't take long to rip a car to bits but I spent about 2hrs drilling out 1 of the locking wheel nuts.. what are these ford ones made of.. bombproof..
Things or parts on order that will be needed for the upgrades, engine and body shell.. so hopefully arrive soon, get cracking on it over the holidays etc..
No doubt road trips for parts or saabtreks

Ripped the front and rear seats out.. centre console etc...
Was thinking about getting the dash flocked..
The cable shift gear selector will have to go as 9-3 box will be used and the rod change..

Use a cable change F35 box from a 93ss

Porbably, not sure of the proper designation.

It's the 2.2tid 6-speed box. And yes, very rare.

It was fitted in the 9-3SS with the 2.2TID Sport and came with a 6 Speed option, Starter Motor is in the wrong place so its not a direct bolt on with a B2*4/5 etc

Chucked an old empty block, head etc together and got car and engine leveled up..
Will be sitting roughly about here..
Extra points if anyone recognises the block...
Should have this all mounted this week...
