Just got myself back in to a Saab after too many years absence!
She's got 130,000 on the clock good history with lots of old bills and receipts, Noobtune Stage 1, Hirsch style roof spoiler , 2005 front bumper nice clean looking car just ABS module showing code C0060 !
Going in to my mechanic's tomorrow for a fettle general going over ABS module to sort, cross drilled and grooved brake discs, Bilstein B8s and Eibach springs plus I got an Abbot Racing cutback exhaust as part of the deal on the car so tat going on too!
Got 4 Alu 28s in good nick of Fleabay , was looking to find some aftermarket 18s in a three spoke design like Calibre CR3 etc but nothing about and the Calibres are discontinued,so in my quest to remind me of my old Aero S days of the 90's and increase the Saab Quirk factor am considering having the centres painted a darker shade, full set of new eyes awaiting fitment too once done!

Hi
Yes Martyn's old car just had it a couple of weeks today, and yes it is in Leicester, I checked the sales details and was originally supplied by Bond Street Saab so back home after many years.
Just about to go and pick her up

Got her back from initial fettling, CV boot joint, new drop links, ABS module sorted so goodbye pretty lights and welcome retain of traction control! ,Noobtune stage 1 reinstated , cross drilled and grooved discs fitted Abbot cat back fitted,Bilstein B8s on Hibachis on new dummy aerial to fit over the weekend, must say feels nice and tight now almost like a new car, apart from referring the ALU 28s and fitting the new tyres I have sitting in the hall that's it for now, unless a reasonably priced down pipe pops up somewhere!
Not a bad day and a half work by the mechanic.
pics to follow shortly !

Smart look wagon. I really like the Aero estates. Nice colour too. Any further plans? Stage 3 makes the 9-5 for me.

Looking very good 8)

Hibachi springs? Any links to them? Haven't encountered them before........

You may find the grooved discs a little noisy and no additional benefit over plain. Watch out around the drilled holes for cracks, especially if you're a spirited driver!

Thanks; not sure yet, as i say maybe the 3" down pipe, the wheels still to go on, it's also got a jamsaab shot shift kit already, I'll have to considerate Stage 3 as looking on here seems to be a popular choice.
In the short term there is a dent on the passenger door that needs tidying plus a bit of paint and a few stone chips then prob a decent polish and seal.
I was after back or grey originally but glad I found this now as a good colour, amazing how different it looks in various light conditions.
Hh ha that is spell check for you Eibach !
I had he same discs on my previous car and found them OK seemed to work better with harder pads, this has Ferodo DS on front Pagid on rear and they were squealing a bit on the Brembo discs , seem ok on these, means someone gets a bargain set of hardly used Brembo s off the bay !

Thanks mate , still thinking of having the centres painted grey
The B8s combined with the Eibachs are nice , not quite as stiff as I expected which I think is a good thing!
Ride height seems about the same if not a tad higher than it was on the original Aero springs and Sachs dampers but I guess that could be down to age sag a bit, plus the B8s only been on for about 40 miles so will no doubt bed in a bit.
See you're not far from me

Good to hear- I'm tempted for a set on mine, got DE dampers and Eibach springs at the moment.
I'm between Leicester and Loughborough, a couple of miles from Bond Street.

Mine has grooved discs, and they're definitely noisier than usual. I like the noise though

I've had the same discs on my past two cars and not noticed them being much noisier, if they are it's a good excuse for a louder exhaust !
