Hi all,

I'm back, (doubt anyone remember anyway lol, but I used to have a Saab Turbo X), I picked up this 9-3 relatively cheaply last weekend.

So far really pleased with it, it's fully loaded and has only had 1 owner, with 61k miles and Fsh

Have already found a few little problems, and have bought some new bits from Neo Brothers already

Main problem was a leaky coolant expansion tank, had same problem with the TX

Also had a problem with my washer jets on the bonnet not working, found the one to be broken and the rest all blocked up, couldn't unclog them so bought a kit with all hoses, jets, etc

The car is all original, won't be doing much, atleast not for a while, just a remap for now and take it from there

Not too clued up on them myself, not sure what the anniversary edition has added.

Don't know, really fancy a custom map this time, maybe Rs tuning in Leeds, only problem they're in Leeds lol.

Is the leak from where a hose goes into the tank or the seam?

I've not investigated, I think it's leaking from the hose at the tank end and other, when I tried fixing the one on my Turbo X the hose connector on the tank disintegrated, so not touching it until the new one turns up

Looks great.
Liking the Sat Nav and the rear bumper and pipes.
There's no space between the 7 and the W though on the number plates.

Thanks

Yeah, just noticed that, I'm guessing that's a problem?

Well....it's not right.
Just noticed your steering wheel too, nice.
Are you going to fit some Eibachs or anything?
Just drop that front a tad and give a slightly better ride....

Will get some new ones, surely get stopped at some point for it.

Yeah, aren't they fitted to most?

I have just sold a car, lowered on Eibach springs, at the moment absolutely loving the smooth soft ride, still capable in the corners and don't have any worry about speed bumps or a harsh ride.

Well, Eibachs actually gave a better ride than Aero springs.
Sister had a 9-3 SS TiD and that was higher but gave a better ride than both the Eibach and Aero springs.

You can get fully legal pressed plates, is that something you'd like?
Got them on mine and got some for my Dad for his Insignia for Birthday.

Well if it rides better then I might look at some Eibach pro kit springs.

Not sure, I guess so.

Didn't realise until I bought the car, but these 9-3's have rear wheel steering, is that true?
