Brakes all fitted this weekend, new discs all round & yellowstuff pads.
Feels sooooo much better now - fluid all changed as well.

Also fitted new track rod ends & had the wheel alignment done.

Can you tell which ones and what springs were used? Thinking when my nivomats give up I will consider changing to them?

Only that they are B6 or B8 from the colour. Springs I recon are o.e. TBH. and feel a bit soft to me as I think without the nivomats boosting the spring rate up & it looks a bit lower at rear even stood still. :park:

Just found this online.

These all being fitted on Thursday 8)

Parts also arriving for a big brake upgrade at the front, Saab 345mm discs with Brembo 4 pot callipers & EBC yellowstuff pads & braided hoses.

Suspension after lowering / rear spring conversion - sitting a bit low at the rear as it keeps catching the exhaust over speed humps etc. :wall:

So will fit slightly longer springs (10.5" as next size up is 12" but with a 15MM spacer as well.

Which Brembo 4-pots are you using? I've been looking for a suitable set for a while but not taken the plunge to find out what will fit.

And are they a direct replacement or do they need a different carrier?

Renault megane RS250 / 265 / 275 Brembo callipers, adaptor carrier is available on ebay now, see link below

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vectra-C-Saa ... Swn~teIG~9

Callipers I got £500 brand new a pair again off ebay.

Will post some pics when we fitted them.

Suspension all fitted today, Bilstein B8 with Vogtland springs front (with new top mounts / bearings & meyle H/D droplinks), 10" x 2.5" 350lb/" rear springs and new bump rubbers. Car doesn't look back end down now - looks nicely balanced & low. 8)

Big brake kit fitted last Friday, still bedding in at the moment only done around 30 miles so can't comment yet on performance.

Fits behind factory o.e. 18" wheels, just needs a tiny spacer to clear the spokes on my TX rims, catches around 5mm otherwise, so got some 10mm spacers on the way (temporarily on 20mm spacers)

Will post some pics when I can find where to host them these days, after the photobucket disaster. :loco:

Brakes now bedded in with another 300 miles on them & feeling nice & sharp 8)

New rear springs fitted 10.5" x 2.25" coilover springs with a 10mm spacer under the spring has sorted the ride height. :D

I also increased the spring rate to 450lb/" and its stopped the soft wallow feel from the back end.
