Fitted a new gearknob & sharkfin last weekend as the originals where well past the sell by dates, sharkfin rubber outer was delaminating & crumbling.

New set of genuine mats fitted this weekend.

Have also got all the bits for an upgrade from the 302mm to 314mm brakes.

Used calipers
Mintex discs
EBC yellows
Hel braided hoses
ATE blue fluid.

Hopefully get them fitted next weekend.

Thought the blue fluid was gone? Be glad if it's still available, where did you get it?

Didn't get chance to do the brakes this weekend due to the poo weather
But did get a new pair for front boots fitted

Goodyear Eagle F1 Assy3's in 235/45/17, the old fronts are now on the rear.

Had done around 28K on them in 15 months.

Any chance you've a link or item number for it? All I can find is the typ200 replacement which is amber.

Sorry couldn't find it now :( Only the new version.

314mm brakes fitted today, feel better already than the 302s & the yellowstuff pads need bedding in yet. 8)

Car let itself down on Friday, battery died with no warning. Came out of where I was working on Friday, doors unlocked but on turning key got dimmed / flickering lights & lots of relay clicking noises but that's all. :wall:

RAC to the rescue with a new battery with a 5 year warranty

how was the battery? as anything over 5 years you've had your moneys worth out of it.

but still a pest as they always go at the worst possible time

Mine was totally knackered, unsure as to how old it was as I've only had the car 3 years - so its at least that old.

Car needed a few bits sorting so a trip to see Wessy last week.

New rear banana arms, both rear callipers & pads plus handbrake cable.

Also another oil & filter change & a fuel filter. Didn't need air filter as its running a K&N panel one.

cars now on 161K

Hi matey. See you are derby/ Notts boarder? So am I, and just bought a 55 plate " noobed" 93 aero. Astonished at your mpg.

My journeys are all short stop start and in the day and a half I've owned it I've been driving pretty steady to be fair. Computer is showing 24.3 mpg

Be good to perhaps meet up and compare cars. I'm in Codnor near ripley.

Yeah its because I do lots of motorway / dual carriageway journeys - most weeks I do between 5-600 miles.

I'm just up the road in heanor.

Ultra racing strut brace on the way - see if it makes any difference.

I had the Maptun one on my 2.8T. Didn't make a significant difference to the steering, maybe fractionally more precise but that could just be placebo effect. What it did do was reduce the number of creaks and rattles from behind the dash, so definitely added some stiffness.

New iridium plugs & a new pollen filter fitted at the weekend, pollen filter was another genuine GM one - amazing how grubby the one I removed was after 2 years, around 50K miles.

Need to do pollen filter.
What was the make and model number of the plugs?
Need new plugs and was thinking might get iridiums.

Oh right thanks.
They are Platinums, do have them now.
Might just get new Platinums though, just wondering what iridiums fitted.
Have had BKR7EIX in various turbo Vauxhalls.
