2003 Skoda Octavia vRS estate. 1.8T 20v turbo engine - 180bhp, 5-speed manual gearbox. I have averaged 38.7mpg (actual) over the last 11 years. 160,000 miles, MOT to 29/10/20. Very reluctant sale but I own nine other vehicles and just don't have the space to keep the old girl.

Completely original, unmolested example, original paint and panels throughout although has some small marks here and there and some cosmetic rust (tailgate, one door - see pics).

Very recent battery, new (OE) suspension all round over the last couple of years, both rear brake calipers replaced. coil packs replaced under recall (although they had never given any issue). Drives very well, nice and tight with no nasty noises or warning lights and pulls well through the gears.

Most reliable car I have owned, utterly dependable, has never broken down or failed to start.

Main dealer history to 87k then combination of home servicing and local garage for bigger jobs for the remainder of my ownership.

Bad points - aircon works when gassed but doesn't hold gas for very long. Driver's seat white cloth insert very grubby (as these usually are) as I've driven it wearing grubby DIY and car-working clothes almost as often as a suit!. Aux air pump noisy (common and quite an easy fix) but as that only runs briefly from cold and doesn't affect anything I've just lived with it.

Note - I have recently bought an upholstery cleaner, so if we get a dry weekend I will test it out on the seat...

I owned a 9-5 Aero a while back, as a possible replacement for this, but other than the comfort of the seats, the Skoda just did everything a bit better - so I sold the 9-5 again!

Ready for daily use. I'll even change the oil before collection at the asking price of £850. Sorry no part exchange!
