Car Model: Saab 95 Aero HOT
Due to ever expanding family commitments, it is now time to rehome my lovely old Bentley.
The Bentley T2 was manufactured between 1978-1980 and featured many improvements over its T1 predecessor, such as rack & pinion steering, revised fascia and more modern bumpers front & rear. Just 558 examples were produced making it much rarer than the Rolls Royce Silver Shadow equivalent, and certainly more desirable.
This 1980 example (chassis 40562) was delivered new by HA Fox of London to a Mr D. Emmerton in June of that year. The car was specified in the contemporary Shell Grey and originally featured Dark Blue Parkertex Savoy Velvet interior, although this was thankfully replaced by Dark Blue leather at some point in the car's life. Also, the veneers were refinished, and along with the thick pile Navy carpet and lambswool over rugs, the interior of the car is simply a divine place to be, belying the age of this beautiful car.
Mechanically excellent, 40562 comes complete with an extensive history file showing the love and care bestowed upon it, and has recently undergone a braking system service and full MOT courtesy of the previous owner, a true Rolls-Royce and Bentley enthusiast. Now showing just over 72,000 miles, I have no doubt in believing this is the true mileage of this car given the history file and how it drives. The self-levelling rear suspension gives this T2 a beautiful ride and as such it is simply superb to drive.
I’ve also replaced the entire ignition system for one that was recommended by expert Nigel Sandwell, and so it runs like a Swiss watch once again!
A car that should be the pride of Crewe, this lovely T2 is now being offered for rehoming, and would be fitting transport at any of the summer's top social events at the fraction of the cost of a new Bentley, which simply doesn't exude the same class as this one. A Bentley for the price of a VW Golf! Call Bryan for more information about this wonderful old car.
I will p/x for a classic Saab, preferably a 900 Turbo 16S.
