Hi again
Will a turbo from a 2.3 2009 9-5 be a direct replacement on my 2001 9-3 ? Does anyone know also before I pull it out the scrappy is it a tdo415t that was is the Saab 2.3 9-5s ? Failing this I am just looking to change and upgrade my turbo as it’s on its way out and need to know what I should be looking for if anyone can give me pointers .
Thanks in advance again for help
Cheers

A 9-3 td0415t will fit, which is fitted to aero's, just the oil/water? lines are different.
don't know about a 9-5 td0415t

The 2001-2005 9-5 Aero turbo's are the long nose TD04-15t and they are identical to the 9-3 Aero TD04-15t from 2000-2002.
If your 9-3 doesn't have a TD04 already i.e. it's 150hp or 185hp version, then you'd also need the coolant line that accompanies the TD04-15t (the Garrett GT17 on the LPT 9-3's and 9-5's has a different size banjo on the turbo).
The 2006 onwards 9-5 Aero TD04-15t has a shorter nose to accomodate the slightly bigger 'King' cobra pipe going to it, You'd need to get the cobra pipe as well as the turbo (and coolant line) if it's from a 2009 9-5 Aero.
Other than that it's a bolt-on swap.
