I've got the casting back and they look great but I can't post up the pics. Forum just says they're invalid files?

I've added width to the casting to maintain flow whilst keeping it away from the water pump. The idea is to shove a 3" pipe into the casting outlet as an interference fit, maybe with a grub screw. Then I'll weld on a cone reducer :-) The i/d of the outlet is 75 mm.

On reflection it'll be better to have a sliding joint over the outside of the casting. Then I can fit the 75mm cone inside that and weld it. This will allow the exhaust to be removed whilst leaving the casting fitted to the turbo..

Might be easier to download a photo resizing app, it's how I've always got my pics onto the forum

Thanks. I have no idea how to resize the pics. Could somebody do them for me if I forward them?

There's a data size limit to photos (1mb IIRC) and a physical size of pixels high and wide.
Your best bet would be to host the photos on a hosting place and link in to the post.

I for one am keen to see the pics :corn:

What is the diameter of the opening at the turbo end?

The same as the flange that it seals on and then I've flared it out. Can't get the machining done for a while though as my engineer's behind with all my other jobs.

The comparison really shows what's been done. I was having trouble visualising it all before. I'm quite impressed.

Thanks. The plan was to have volume in the bend and to keep things smooth flowing. Also to be able to connect to any downpipe diameter.

Ok, I see now, I had thought you were having the flange machined to be a V band fitment.

I think it's got plenty of room to remove it from the turbo. I'll remove some of the earlier pics as they don't really show what I'm doing. Doh, I can't!

Use a hosting firm. Saves UKSaabs money and is much more user friendly/flexible. See here viewtopic.php?f=6&t=25623

That is impressive. Power to your elbow.

Just so folks are aware. The comparison you have shown is with a std Saab and not a JT or Aerodyte.
