Had enough of my corroding sunroof, aluminium exterior surround oxidizing under seal, underside M3 self taping screws rusting away....

Decided to remove it, replace it.... and may be renovate the original Saab one.....

So fitted a new old stock Glass panel replacement, not Saab but GM Opel.

It is precisely the same dimensions but made by Rockwell.

Fitted it today, works perfectly.

Just needed to drill and thread 4 off M5 bolt holes to reposition the middle and rear bolts LH and RH side plus drill the middle hole on the LH and RH side for middle bolt to go through on the glass panel (Opel doesn't use 6 bolts only 4... so hole not drilled)

Even impressed myself... and yes it tilts and slides as per the original..

Question.... Should I keep the old one for refurbishing one day or throw it in the scrap...

good work fella
youll need a hat now if your a bit thin on top for the 5 days of sun we get
mirrored sunroofs work well for baldy types
i hate sunroofs because im tall and ive spent hours messing with 90s french cars knackered sunroofs
back in the day sellers dont realise the hours it takes to get a knackered not working sunroof working
took me three years to find a ruby 9000 non sunroof non leather turbo manual worth buying

now youve told this works whos gonna want a rusty old sunroof in the future
if its a very rare colour maybe keep it
