EXAMPLE- [Car Year][Car Model]: [Brief description of issue]
When you put a new thread up in the Workshop please put your car's year and model in the title, along with just a brief indicator of the problem.
Please also add as much information as you can about the problem, to your post.
This will help us to help you, without having to ask basic details such as what car you have.

Hi there I am having trouble with my Saab. The car is a 2005 Saab 9-3 Tid 1.9 6 speed with 90k on the clock. I have had the car around six months and shortly after buying the gear stick became stiff to move from side to side. I carried on as I got used to it but of late it really is difficult to engage gears. I have just returned from holiday with the car stood for two weeks and now I can only engage 3rd and 4th. I can move the gear knob across right and left even lifting the catch to go across to reverse all be it very stiff but cant engage the other gears. I have been in touch with Saab UK and Green house but they need to see it to give a verdict. As I live in Mid Wales I wanted to get as much info to take with me to the local garage.
Any ideas ? Could it be a linkage ? Cables ? Hope it's not the box!!!
Ben

It will be the gear turrett changer on top the box, starting to seize. It will require freeing off and lubricating. Bit of a job, have you got waranty?

Either that or if its cable change (cables link the lever to the selector hsg) then they could also be problematic as well...
