Forum rules

When you put a new thread up in the Workshop please put your car's year and model in the thread title, along with just a brief indicator of the problem.

Car Year - Car Model: Brief description of issue. EXAMPLE- 1999 9-3. Problems starting when hot.

Please also add as much information as you can about the problem, to your post.

This will help us to help you, without having to ask basic details such as what car you have.

Threads with non-compliant titles will be moved to The Pit Lane (in which no replies can be posted, but the OP can edit the thread - upon which the thread will be released to the workshop forum)

Nb. Generic thread titles for truly generic issues that genuinely are not model or variant specific (such as "how do I change the spring in an forge wastegate actuator") are acceptable

**The first 5 posts for new users require individual moderator approval (which they will only get it if they are in line the rules of the forum). Please be patient and allow time for that to happen, and avoid duplicate postings.**

Car Model: 9-5 2003 tiid estate
Hi Everyone,
Gotta saab 9-5 auto 2003 tiid estate
And a nasty little problem, one I've never had with a car in all my life.
on deceleration slightly down hill, at approx 40mph, the steering takes off as though I've got an instant flat and the steering wheel goes nuts and slightly pulling to the offside. the front of the car feels like it's driving on a corrugated road and this wont stop until i come to a physical stop.
the first time it happened I had the nearside bottom ball joint replaced (there was some play) but within the hour it did it again, again on the same slope and speed etc.
went back to the garage and took the tester out for a spin on the same road and nothing happened! and didn't when I did it solo afterwards either.
he had it on the mot ramp and declared that everything on the front is perfect.
So,, any ideas please? Please don't say its the gearbox :(

Mod Edit: Your first post, but for future reference please note the requirements to include the model year and model in your thread title.
Non compliant threads will in future be moved into the Pit Lane rather than edited by the mod team.
