When you put a new thread up in the Workshop please put your car's year and model in the thread title, along with just a brief indicator of the problem.

Car Year - Car Model: Brief description of issue. EXAMPLE- 1999 9-3. Problems starting when hot.

Please also add as much information as you can about the problem, to your post.

This will help us to help you, without having to ask basic details such as what car you have.

Threads with non-compliant titles will be moved to The Pit Lane (in which no replies can be posted, but the OP can edit the thread - upon which the thread will be released to the workshop forum)

Nb. Generic thread titles for truly generic issues that genuinely are not model or variant specific (such as "how do I change the spring in an forge wastegate actuator") are acceptable

**The first 5 posts for new users require individual moderator approval (which they will only get it if they are in line the rules of the forum). Please be patient and allow time for that to happen, and avoid duplicate postings.**

Car Model: Saab 9-3 2T Aero
Yesterday my dash said "Limited power" and started to drive oddly with a jerky throttle and obviously less power due to the limp home mode. About 3-4 minutes of driving later as I come to a stop the engine just stalls... I leave it for about 10 seconds and have enough time to finish the corner I was taking then it dies again, really lumpy and prolonged. Leave it for about 5 minutes and I have enough time to get to a car park 50 metres up the road. After leaving it running in a space for 10 minutes all seems fine, drive it around the car park, little power but thought I'd try get it back home, then it dies. At this point I give in and call the RAC. I was then able to drive it with him following to a garage with it only stuttering at one idle point, I stopped and started the engine and it was smooth the entire 3 mile trip all be it slow. It's now at a garage waiting to be checked tomorrow but I thought I'd see if anyone has any ideas??? I'm thinking electrical because:

Last week I've had "check coolant" and "check oil" despite them both being fine.

Only codes thrown today we're throttle position, 3 times for the 3 stops. This was explained as it could be the engine wasn't doing what the throttle wanted hence throwing a code.

This combo of codes seems odd to me and unrelated?

If anyone's had this issue please comment, thanks!
