Car Model: 99 turbo
Ok so sadly i am putting my 99 GL for sale, this Saab has been on some journey with me, but now due to a job change and possible relocation I am looking to sell.
I have owned this car since late last year.

The car was previously used by a Swedish post lady in the very north of Sweden. It has not been converted to right hand drive, it was made RHD for the postal service so they don't have to get out of their car to deliver the mail in -30c weather and snow storms.

Originally I imported the car from Sweden by driving it back with a friend. The car never skipped a beat except for the fuel pump breaking which I have replaced with an original old stock fuel pump & works great now. It also had a rotten gear selector linkage when i picked it up making it hard to choose a gear but we go that sorted with an uprated version and i am told it should last the life time of the car now.

This car was bought and used as a daily driver by me and with a bit of work would make a really nice daily or show car with the right attention to detail.

Starts first time, every time. I replaced the starter motor recently with a reconditioned motor and it still has a years warranty on it.

With it being a Swedish car, it has never been driven on salty roads so it is in very good condition for its age. there are a few cosmetic rust sports that need fixing before they become a problem but nothing major.

Seats are in great condition and I am told the covers have been on the car from new and never removed.

This car has never jumped out of gear since I have owned it which is a big plus, as I am told this can often a real problem with some abused gearboxes on old Saabs.

It had a run in with a Swedish tram in Gothenburg and now has a bit of a 'rash' down the left side wheel arch, but I was quoted £300 for the job and he said he would touch up some of the rust spots at the same time.
The front bumper has been replaced with an original saab 99 bumper of the same age.

When I had it in the garage for them to replace the starter motor they told me they thought it needed the head gasket doing as the engine was covered in oil. The engine was covered in oil when I bought it and it drove home with absolutely no problems and no signs of over heating what so ever. Even when driving at about 75mph on motorways.

I also took the car into the garage because of a clunk sound from the breaks when reversing and was advised that it is not a problem at all but if you wanted to remove the noise the front right break caliper should be replaced.

At some point the previous owned replaced the front speaker with two speakers in the back which IMO is a good upgrade, but if I kept the car I would replace these speakers with newer speakers.

The head liner has sagged in this crazy heat we have had but its an old car, what can you expect?!

I also have an original Saab roof rack and a set of original gold Saab minilites which can come with, if the right price is offered.

Original spare wheel included in the boot and on the car are a set of very good Swedish winter tires (spikes removed) so you will have no trouble going anywhere.

I have tried to be as honest as I can here because I want this car to go to the right person who will show it some love so that it can continue being the great car it is.

I would recommend viewing the car so we can chat more about it and its history when we meet. I hope I have covered everything in this advert but if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.

I realise the car does need some work so i am also happy to negotiate but only with serious buyers please.

Thank you,

price reduced more here because i want it to go to a saab enthusiast
