1999 SAAB 9-3 Coupe with B204 (Garrett T25 turbo)

87k miles

MOT to November 2020

FSH (by Western SAAB to 57k miles then by myself every 6k or less to present)

A very desirable and rare variant of the OG 9-3 in being a coupe with the B204 engine. Owned since 2015 with a number of upgrades since then. Runs and drives incredibly well with handling much improved by upgraded suspension and pulls much stronger with the increased boost pressure over the original low pressure turbo. The car has been incredibly reliable for me and is mechanically very good. The main bad point of the car is that unfortunately the typical OG 9-3 rear wheel arch rust has come in on the passenger side but the driver's side is still good (both shown in pictures). Some small areas of welding repairs have also been required to sure up the seat mount holes. However, other typical rust areas like the spare wheel well and the rest of the underside and sills are very solid.

Upgrades and improvements in my ownership (all with receipts) include:

ECU adapted for T7 type electronic boost control valve
Remap to 1bar of boost (approx. 220bhp)
Maptun atmospheric blow off valve
Bilstein B8 dampers and H&R springs
22mm rear anti-roll bar
Fitment of Viggen clutch along with new concentric slave cylinder and gearbox oil change (by Central SAAB at 75k miles)
EBC Redstuff brake pads all round
Recent new back box with Viggen style tailpipe
3 spoke alloy wheels (bought in my ownership so only 4 years old and still perfect condition)
4 x matching Goodyear tyres (fronts brand new, rears still with good tread left)
Recent air-con work to replace a pipe, now blows cold
All but one column of pixels (which are hardly ever used) also work

Overall, I have been doing continuous upgrades and all routine maintenance with lots of money spent throughout my time with the car (and previously going by service history) and it drives very well and reliably. I have enjoyed my ownership of the car but now I have had my fun and got to the end of the upgrades I wanted to do with it, I have decided to move on to something completely different to keep me busy.
