Car Model: MY04 9-5 AERO Manual 4 door
I'm reluctantly testing the market to see if there is genuine interest within the SAAB UK community in my 2004 Model Year "Shark tooth" Manual 9-5 AERO saloon. The main reason for this potential sale is the luck of spare time due to my busy work schedule, family life and other two cars I have & use every day, leaving me little to no spare time to enjoy this SAAB as it should be.

I purchased this car not long after selling my last SAAB on here, a lovely late MK1 9-5 Aero manual Wagon (instantly regretting the sale) back in August 2017 as it was in such good, honest condition with lots of potential, relatively low mileage (97K miles) with high specification.
Previously it was owned by a mechanic from a well know, local SAAB specialist who did quite a lot of remedial mechanical work before selling it to me. Since my purchase I've decided to take this car to another level, renewing & restoring anything that's worn to "As New" condition as it's one of the rare & quite desirable (2 year only) "Shark tooth" 9-5 AERO.

It's an early 2004 Model Year car (registered on 27/11/2003) MK 2.5 9-5 AERO saloon in Nocturne Blue metallic (paint code 290) with immaculate sand beige leather (trim code L25) and it has the desirable 5 speed Manual gearbox. It's a high specification AERO with XENON headlights, fully heated (front & rear) leather seats. Driver seat is fully electric with memory function. Passenger seat is also electric. Xenon headlights, electric fold Auto dimming door mirrors, cruise control, Premium AS3 Sound System with "Harman Kardon" Subs & speakers. Genuine SAAB rubber floor mats + rubber boot mat + sand beige luxury mats. Everything on this car works as it should, it's never been smoked in and the interior is very clean with a pleasant hint of the SAAB leather sent. The leather seats has been thoroughly cleaned and then regularly fed with SAAB approved "Liquid Leather" GT12 leather conditioner.

As tempting as it is I've restrain myself from "NOOBING" this SAAB as it's so original yet reasonably quick in stock guise. The paintwork looks to be original (except for the front bumper which I had professionally resprayed at great expense) however being dark blue & 15 years old there are a number of small imperfections here & there as to be expected. Nothing horrible or unsightly that stands out, as it does clean up really well and is very presentable.

The car is super original and unmodified, it has X2 original SAAB remote key fobs. All the original SAAB Owners Manual & Service booklets are here in the original leather wallet. It's been garaged during my 2 + years of ownership.
Current mileage is just 99 000 original miles, full service history (last serviced at my local SAAB Main Dealer @ 98 323 on the 21/12/2018.
MOTed on 24/08/2019 @ 98 939 miles and valid until 07/09/2020. Full MOT history can easily be checked online.
It's HPI clear and free of any finance.

There are 9 service stamps in the original Service booklet with a number of recent invoices in an A4 folder.
It was first PDIed @ Lincoln SAAB on 21/11/2003 with 4 miles on the clock and later registered on the 27/11/2003.
The engine has always been run on Fully Synthetic engine oils and it has the factory fit improved & upgraded PCV breather kit along with all New (SAMCO) silicone vacuum hoses & a "MapTune" all metal recirculating dump valve. Previous owner fitted a brand new (Genuine SAAB) DI coil pack along with new NGK R spark plugs, New "Powerflex" main rear trailing arm poly bushes, new water pump & coolant and a pair of front drop links. Also the rear handbrake shoes were renewed.

In my ownership I've had all 4 original 5 Spoke alloy wheel professional refurbished (chemicals stripped & powder coated inside and out ) in sparkling silver and I put a full set of 4 brand new Pirelli P ZERO NERO GT tyres all round along with all New locking wheel nut bolts. This alone cost in excess of £600. I've also had it serviced twice in the 2000 miles / two years I've owned it (last time @ my local SAAB Main dealer) I've also had a full exhaust system renewed from the cat right to the rear back box with new rubber hangers, bolts & clips. Two brand new Genuine SAAB rear chock absorbers & brand new rear shock towers. New "Powerflex" engine torque rod bush. New BREMBO vented front disc & pads + New PAGID rear brake discs & pads ( BREMBOs were not available for the large vented AERO rears). New (Genuine SAAB) APC turbo boost control valve. I've also had the A/C re-gassed and a full brake fluid change.

For now I'm only advertising my 9-5 AERO on here, exclusivly for the UKSaabs community.
This 9-5 AERO had a modest agreed valuation of £3000 on a recent Classic Car policy.

While I'm not desperate to sell ... serious offers around £2750 will be considered.
For further details I may have missed, please pm me to express your interest.

Good morning,

I am very interested in your 9-5 Aero, Please email me pics. if possible to brianaki@yahoo.com. Although I am overseas at the moment (until Dec. 6th.), I am sure that something could be arranged if we agree on a deal. I live in Norfolk so for a change, quite close to you.

Regards, Brian

As I've been inundated with requests for pix here's a link to Google photo album of my 9-5 AERO I compiled.
Hopefully it works.
