Hi Guys, having bought a new battery a month or so ago I have noticed that on start up there is a strong smell of petrol when starting a cold engine. The previous battery was pretty old and there is a marked difference in the power the new battery gives the start. Nothing else seems to affect the running and the smell recedes after 30 seconds or so. Does anyone have any suggestions of what to look for?

Thanks
