Please can anyone advise how the interior light is supposed to fix to the rear view mirror. Since I had the car, I noticed that the light only rests loosely on the mirror and want to fix it but cannot work out how it is supposed to be secured.

Sorted! There is a screw in the light unit which engages with a nut that slots in the mirror arm.

Glad to be helpful. You can see the nut in the picture at the bottom of the channel holding the wires. You just need to remove the clear lens from the light to get at the screw.
