Anybody have any experience on a windscreen change on a 900? I have a new screen to replace my very pitted one but don't want to give this to somebody who may mess it up as I'm assuming all the original rubber seal etc needs to be used again.

Appreciate any info.

I have done it using a 2nd hand seal, the one that was on the car to be exact lol.. Had a huge crack so was easy to push old screen out with my feet once the strip in the rubber had been removed etc.

Putting it all back together was a different matter, would've been handy with the right tools but with my brother helping and using some butyl in a caulking gun we managed to gingerly get it all back together, small part is now leaking and when first put in it leaked in the right hand corners but did fix that with some more butyl.

Nowadays if I was to do it again? Get the right tools, see if there is something else to seal it rather than butyl and most importantly try to get new seal/stripping and corner sections

I’ve done it with just me and a mate. Hardest bit is getting the old one out.
