Sorry for the stupid question but, I'm trying to remove the headlight wiper arms so I can take the front bumper off my 1989 900. I've pulled back the little flap and removed the small bolt on each but they won't budge off.

Am I missing a trick??

Thanks

Lots of penetrating fluid, wiggling and patience is the way. The shafts are splined and the alloy arms corrode onto the shafts, like the windscreen wiper arms can do, esp on VW Beetles....

You might already know how to remove the front bumper, but if not:

Remove side extension panels and wiper arms.
Look up through the cut out gaps in the lower air dam and you will see there are two Allen bolts, one each side - 10mm/M10, I think. Undo these, ease off the bumper off the brackets and rest it on something. Then disconnect the wiper motors so you can fully remove the bumper.

If the wiper rubbers need replacing you can buy cheap full size ones and cut them down.

Pair of polygrip pliers, one side under the arm, the other on the end of the shaft, squeeze, straight off!
