Anyone ever changed one of these? Tackling a few jobs on the 900 this bank holiday. Looks like it can be got to from inside the hood or is it best going in from under neath,

Joe

From underneath worked well for me, but the old one was a bithc to remove. I think I made some sort of tool for it, can't remember the details, it's been a while. Make sure you get a good quality replacement, i.e. not Scantech/ Professional Parts Sweden.

Under the hood will be the wrong end of the linkage, Joe. You need to look under the bonnet
Is it the nylon bush in the gearbox you are referring to or the rubber bit behind it?

Haha sorry bill I meant the gear linkage joint the rubber with the 4 10mm bolts! I have a genuine Saab replacement which I bought for my previous saab before it was stolen, hoping it will improve abit of a sloppy shift,

Joe

I thought you meant the gearbox input shaft seal for some reason. Never mind!

In that case, get underneath and it is pretty easy.
