Hi, I picked up a Saab OEM auxiliary temp gauge and am trying to find the sender. VDO say theirs won't work as their one is calibrated to degrees C, whereas the OEM gauge is in degrees F.
Any ideas where I can get hold of a sender?
Thanks

Surely it's a resistance depending on temperature? F or C are just numbers.

That's what I thought. Just like lbs/sq inch and bar.

Exterior air temp or oil temp?
For the air temp I found the same sender for the engine coolant temp gauge gives sensible readings (this is also a VDO part)

I thought that too but the guys at VDO swear blind it wont work. Maybe I'll just give it a go anyway...

Nice - which ones? I used demon tweaks for the senders for oil pressure and temp. They do VDO and service was good.

Good question they're in a box in the garage. I think outside temp, oil press or temp and maybe a volts one?
